Where it began.
Maqeed began with a feeling familiar to the culture, the way a scent can bring you back to a place, a moment, or someone you hold close. Inspired by the memories woven into our heritage, from warm gatherings to the lingering scent of bakhoor in the air, Maqeed was created to preserve those moments through fragrance.
Each scent is a bridge between what we remember and what we carry forward a reflection of our culture, our stories, and the places we call home.
The idea behind Maqeed
Maqeed reflects a cherished Gulf tradition of spending the summer season away from the heat, surrounded by family, familiar places, and meaningful moments. We chose the name as a tribute to those memories transforming the feeling of a season, a place, and a shared heritage into fragrance.
A unique creative process
Every Maqeed fragrance begins as a single idea. A place, a feeling, a fragment of memory we want to hold in scent. From there we select rare naturals by hand, testing each against the idea rather than a trend, discarding anything that feels ornamental rather than true. The blending happens slowly, in small batches, refined over weeks until the composition earns its own quiet confidence. Nothing is bottled until it has rested and matured in the dark until the top notes settle and what remains is the fragrance's truest self. Only then does it become Maqeed.
